Buyer questions

Frequently asked.

  • What temperature and pressure should I use for a silicone transfer? Our standard setting is 150–155 °C, 18–20 seconds at 4 kg, reverse press and cool peel. Always test on your own fabric and press first, because the best setting depends on the backing and the garment. Coated, waterproof or windproof fabrics must be tested on the actual fabric — send us a swatch and we will press it before production.
  • How is wash durability tested? We test heat-applied silicone trims to a 10-wash standard: 10 cycles of 1 hour each with a small amount of household detergent, then check for lifting, edge peel and colour loss. Tell us your own wash code and fabric and we will confirm the construction.
  • Silicone or PVC — which should we choose?Silicone is softer and lighter with a matte, premium hand-feel; PVC reads harder and glossier and takes very fine multi-colour detail. The guide below compares them side by side, and we will recommend one once we see the artwork and the garment.
  • Can silicone be colour matched to our Pantone?Yes. Send the Pantone references with the artwork and we will match them and confirm on the sample.
  • How is a silicone label attached?Sew-on or heat transfer. Which one is right depends on the fabric and how the label sits on the garment — tell us the panel and we will confirm.
  • What is the minimum order for custom silicone labels?1,000 pieces per design. Multi-colour or multi-size orders are quoted as separate lines so the MOQ stays clear.
  • How long does sampling and bulk production take?A physical sample takes 5–7 working days after artwork approval. Bulk production takes 14–16 working days after the sample is approved.
